While on summer break from Hollywood I have been able to check out some different sports. One that has really got my attention is Crossfit. I attended the Reebok Crossfit Games this past weekend and had a great time. It’s one of those sports that is non-stop action. These athletes are in great shape. A combination of strength, cardio, and mental. Don’t be surprised if you see Crossfit as an Olympic sport. As I was watching I couldn’t help thinking just how far exercising has come. It’s no longer just going to the gym and lifting weights or doing aerobics. It brings me back to a question I asked a while back: Why is Bodybuilding a dying sport? Now we know.

Sports like Crossfit, MMA, and American Ninja Warriers are really taking over. We love nothing more than to watch athletes compete against each other. Bodybuilding did serve it’s purpose. Believe it or not back in the day coaches would tell their players to stay out of the weight room. They would get muscle bound and not be able to move or run. Wow were they wrong. Today weight training is a part of every sport. From football to golf. So thank you bodybuilding for that. Now step a side before you get run over.

One thing that hasn’t changed is the foods we eat and the supplements we take. We are in an age were scientific studies have been done and everyone agrees the number one food is protein and it’s not just for athletes and younger people. I can’t tell you enough just how important protein in your diet is. I promise you, you will live longer and healthier. Do I need to say more. Protein is the food sorce for growing and maintaining muscle. So go drink a ProteinBlitz and feel better about your self and your work out. I hope to have some big news for you next month. Til then.

What’s up all you Blitz Beasts out there???

So I went back to work last week took the last year off and started my own business and decided also to take on more responsibilities, all I can say is Damn! It is not easy maintaining the workout lifestyle and work!!! Now I know how you all feel when you miss a meal or a workout. We all take pride in our body and push it to the limits in all aspects. I know you have to make working out a priority and change your schedule, so back at the gym at 6am. No more two a days, more reps, cardio and keep the meals in place (3 blitz chocolate 60 grams of protein shakes a day) along with lower my carbs I don’t have the time to burn all the excess carbs off that I was eating BACK TO BEING RIPPED!!!!

I am writing this month to tell you about some remarkable results and progress that I have seen as a result of using the Blitz Products. I have now lost over 55 pounds going from 350 lbs to 295 lbs. The quality of my life has been greatly improved, to which the credit is largely due to my utilization of these products in my life. I not only feel better and have significantly more energy, but there are markers my doctors are noticing as well. My blood pressure is no longer an issue and I have avoided having to use blood pressure medication. I had hypertension, I was on the verge of having to go on blood pressure medication, but with the diet and exercise and utilizing of Blitz as part of my weight loss endeavor my blood pressure has dropped. The weight loss apparently also helped my vision. I went into my eye doctor for a new prescription and exam and I required a prescription with less strength in both eyes. I attribute this to lowering of my blood pressure and relieved strain on my eyes that has been relieved from the weight loss. I was up to a 6.75 in my right eye and a 6.50 in my left eye for the strength of prescription for nearsightedness, this last prescription I was able to see better and only needed a 5.75 in my right eye and a 5.50 in my left eye. My jeans and clothes fit better. I also have significantly less joint pain in my knees, with less weight for my knees to carry, my knee pain has diminished and I am able to work out and do cardio without knee pain. I had knee surgery to remove torn cartilage but with the extra weight they never really felt better and still hurt constantly. My knees like carrying 295 much better than 350, and I am feeling good enough to hopefully play football again this summer in the semi-pro league.

How exactly have I incorporated Blitz effectively. I use a Blitz protein shake every morning with a cup of oatmeal as my breakfast. The fast absorbing protein gives my body the protein needs for my morning workout and provides a nutrient rich breakfast. I also use Blitz Ready-to-drinks during the day at work when I get hungry instead of running to the snack machine for a bag of chips. This staves off my hunger through my next meal, allows me to avoid the unhealthy meal choices and allows me to simply eat less in general. If I can reach for a bottle of Blitz I am making a healthier choice than eating whatever is around because I am hungry. Lastly, I drink another Blitz protein shake before bed. I am able to feed my bodies protein needs through the night to speed muscle recovery and growth and don’t have late night cravings which had been a problem for me in the past.

Since leaving the hospital at Christmas I weight 160 lbs. Tonight at the gym, I’m weighing in at 194lbs. And I owe it all to PROTEIN BLITZ.

Let’s start with some good news for a change. I just shot a commercial for a new video game called Play 2. I spent three days on a plane. Not a real plane, a Hollywood plane. The same one they used for Snakes on a Plane. It was a lot of fun. I played a prisoner being transported by a Marshall. Tuesday I read for a big movie. Don’t know if I got it or not, yet.

Now for the funny stuff. Sunday I was back in the hospital after driving myself to the emergency room. I was there for three days. When I left I had two tubes hanging from my upper arm. That was not going to go over well on set. So I untaped it and stuck it under my arm pit. No one knew. Cool.

I go to the hospital every day for treatment. This will last for six weeks. Since leaving the hospital at Christmas I weight 160 lbs. Tonight at the gym, I’m weighing in at 194lbs. And I owe it all to PROTEIN BLITZ. Why, because that’s what I’ve been using. You can’t help but train harder, you feel so good, you just want to work out. And the results? They speak for themselves.

I wish I would have taken pictures just so you could see the difference, but my ego wouldn’t allow it. I didn’t leave my house for weeks. I went to the gym late when no one is there. But I did go to the gym and I did eat, but most important I got more than my fill of protein. I don’t care what anyone says. You can live without fat and little carbs, but protein? If you’re not getting enough protein your body can’t function. So if & when you take your protein, why not take the best?

Remember what your dad use to say to you growing up: You get what you pay for. Cheap protein, poor results. If you’re not taking ProteinBlitz you’re throwing your money away. Good luck everyone and don’t give up. If it ain’t hard, it ain’t cool.

Lots of reps

I changed my leg workout around to 15 to 25 reps. I still get the blood rush and the pump but as I get OLDER the joints and cracking of the bones are feeling the heavy workouts.

I still do a total of 5 exercise and now train quads and hamstrings in the same day. I like the over all feel of a full leg workout instead of half done workout. Meaning I want the pump and rush along with the soreness in one complete workout instead of waiting 3 days after my quad workout. My goal with the workout is to get deep cuts. If I lose a little size…oh well. I like my jeans to fit in the waist instead of the old days when you had to go 2 sizes up in the waist to fit your legs.

I have to look at longevity instead of just today. Otherwise all this heavy training will catch up to me.

I took the whole month of November off. I felt with all the injuries I had this year and finding out I have 1 kidney, I needed a break. I was way too stressed out! I started back in the gym December 1 and WOW, I haven’t been this sore in a while. But thank God our bodies remember and I stick to a clean diet all year around always: (3) meals and (3) Blitz shakes a day.

The goal this next year is to listen to my body and cross train. I think the body learns a routine and you get stuck. So it’s time to mix it UP!

I have done a lot of research since I started bodybuilding in 2002 and I believe the reason why BLITZ is the best is because of the superior protein used in the formula.

I AM LOVING THE RESULTS OF BLITZ.

I have lost 30 lbs in 7 weeks. That’s over 4 lbs a week. I have dropped from 350 to 320 and I feel great. I have done a lot of research since I started bodybuilding in 2002 and I believe the reason why BLITZ is the best is because of the superior protein used in the formula. Proteins are comprised of Amino Acids. Quick amino acid absorption is crucial after a workout; it provides your body with the building blocks of muscle and allows for quicker recovery replenishing a muscles protein needs after a workout. If your body does not have the proper amino acids from proteins it will not build muscle and even worse your body could actually use the skeletal muscle you have (your hard earned muscle) for its needs and break muscle down, what is commonly called catabolism.

There are a few major types of proteins—animal proteins from meat, whey and casein from milk, and vegetable proteins. With the exception of Soy there is no protein in plant sources that contains all of the essential amino acids, so plant sources are not ideal in general. Animal proteins are good, but because of the high fiber content they take longer to digest, therefore take longer to get to your muscles up to 4 hours. That leaves us with milk proteins. Milk contains two proteins, whey and casein. Casein is the slower digesting type – it actually clots after entering the digestive system and can take 4-8 hours to fully digest, making it far less than ideal for post-workout applications. Whey absorbs within 1-2 hours and quickly raises blood amino acid levels providing your body with ample supply for its needs after a workout.

There are a few different major types of protein produced and put into supplements, the two most common are whey concentrate and whey isolate. Whey concentrate is cheaper to produce as it involves less refinement in the process and creates a less pure protein with more fat and also more lactose remaining, making it more difficult to digest. And it can be problematic especially for anyone with even a slight sensitivity to lactose and also more likely to cause bloating and stomach discomfort. Whey isolate is produced through a much more intense process called micro-filtration, it is generally more expensive, but it is well worth it! Because it is more pure it can generally be absorbed in about an hour and causes a much more dramatic increase in blood amino acid levels resulting in greater muscle anabolism (muscle growth). Most supplements are actually a mixture of the two types of whey which is cheaper to formulate, but less ideal.

I use only BLITZ because it does not contain whey concentrate it is formulated with only whey isolate. I find no ill effects with Whey Isolate as I have a slight difficulty with lactose and have difficulty digesting whey concentrate. I use BLITZ because it is a very pure form of whey isolate, it doesn’t contain whey concentrate as a filler and it is the best form of protein to increase blood amino acid levels and support growth. It also provides more available amino acids during cardio to keep my body from breaking down my muscle during intense dieting. I have lost 30 lbs and I have not lost any of the strength I had. Thank you BLITZ!

The Diet. What Diet??? This is way WHEY of life. You will NEVER see the changes if you don't make that change.

I love to eat!!!

So since the winter season is on its way I have decided to lose a little of the razor ripped look to getting more size along with strength gains. The goal is to get to around 225lbs. Right now I’m at 210lbs.

The training will be like this till end of year. I’m still at the gym 5 days a week but I will take Thursdays off, the rep range no higher than 10 reps and three exercises per body part. I will still drop weight in half on the last set of each exercise to burn out.

The Diet. What Diet??? This is way WHEY of life. You will NEVER see the changes if you don’t make that change. For me (3) BLITZ shakes a day along with four meals average about 60 grams of protein a meal and CARBS. I eat as much as I want. My energy should be thru the ROOF!!!

I will be posting PROGRESS PICTURES WEEKLY.

I am 29, live in Lakewood, CO I am a former collegiate all-star rugby player and semi-pro football player. I was runner up for Mr. Northern Colorado. My weight goal is to cut down from my bulking weight of 350 STOP ( a little more than I planned to be) back to a competition weight and leanness of around 275. So my goal is to drop 75 lbs in the next 18 weeks and maintain my lean muscle mass. With Designer Whey on my side, I am confident I can do it.

I have started my diet plan, cardio and weight training using Blitz powder and RTD’s and I have already cut 6 lbs and am down to 344. I use the Blitz powder before and after workouts and the RTD’s when

I don’t have time or the capability to make a shake. I also use Blitz Protein before cardio to provide my body ample protein supplies so I can keep my blood amino acid levels high so my body will use the protein in my system instead of becoming catabolic and losing muscle mass.

I have been back to TWO WORKOUTS A DAY, meaning a 5:30am workout and 5:00 pm workout. I feel that I can recover faster and the quality of my workout is more intense and no need for BS, well I was WRONG!!!!

I am here to talk about gym etiquette rules:

1. Wake up with a smile on your face
2. Drink a BLITZ ON THE WAY TO THE GYM
3. Have a great selection of music
4. Before you walk in the gym have a workout in mind
5. Pick up your weights. If you are that lazy I would hate to see how you live
6. Share machines and benches if none are available
7.When you are done I hope you put as much effort into the workout as you do your job
